Street, estuary or coastal clean ups and working bees in your local neighbourhood are a great way to gather neighbours for a common purpose.
Can your neighbourhood plant gardens collectively for bees or native birds? Is there a local stream or coastal area that could do with some tender loving care? Does the Council have a programme to help you enhance your local environment? Clean ups and working bees provide a great opportunity to come together for a common purpose and enhance your neighbourhood.
Do you have a neighbour that needs a bit of help in their backyard? You could consider a permablitz or backyard blitz to help them out. This works by people volunteering to assist and then having their backyards blitzed once they have attended a certain number of activities.
