I Heart my Hood

... we gather together and stand as one ...

I HEART DIVERSITY IN MY HOOD

We live in a cul de sac which is perfect for us we have three children are growing up playing ball and riding bikes on the road, our neighbours/friends have children also well four familes down the end do and they all have such a great time playing together, us as parents can sit and chat and watch them play, the ones with grown up children are like the grandparents of the street the kids love them all (not saying they are old just more wiser). We share our baking and home grown eggs and vegetables, we share laughs at our regular street bbqs usually impromptu and we also have nights out where the ladies go out for dinner.  When the power goes our the neighbourly loves come out, Betty is out cooking water and food on her bbq to bring around and share.   Angie and the rest of us check everyone is ok.  If there is trouble down the street we gather together and stand as one to support the police and keep our neighbourhood safe, we have a great street a happy friendly supportive street, wish more were like ours.
